Manufacturing Custodian

**AdvanTec Marine** is looking for a couple experienced and energetic **Manufacturing Custodian **to join our Production team in Chilliwack, BC.

- Our **Manufacturing Custodian** has a starting **wage range of $19-$21.50** per hour based on experience and an assessment during the interview stage. Increases are then reviewed throughout employment.

Working independently, the Manufacturing Custodian will perform a variety of cleaning activities throughout the facilities. We strive to maintain a safe, clean, and well-performing production environment that all our employees are proud to come to work in. This is a very physically active role requiring good health and focus on working safely throughout the workday is of high importance.

**Essential Functions for this Role are**:

- Clean the production area including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down all areas within the building and property.
- Empty trash cans and properly dispose of trash and other waste in the appropriate front-loading dumpster.
- Remove the recyclable scrap materials from each department and place them in the appropriate recycling bin.
- Assist with the removal of pallets and other wood products placing them in the appropriate wood waste bin.
- Maintaining cleanliness in bathrooms and lunchrooms in both the shop floor and office areas, including restocking and refilling various supplies as required.
- Monitoring stock levels of janitorial supplies.
- Occasionally assist with snow removal and salting of pathways directly outside the building doors, window cleaning or wiping down high touch points within the facility.
- Reporting noticed deficiencies or safety concerns to the appropriate Team Lead or Manager as required to maintain optimum equipment and building condition and efficiency.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Assist maintenance personnel with various tasks associated with preventative maintenance.
- Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records.

**Experience, Qualifications, and Skills required**:

- High school education or GED equivalent
- Some experience with cleaning in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to working independently with little supervision.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills
- This role works primarily in a Warehouse and Manufacturing facility (not temperature controlled) with exposure to dust, noise and metal shavings.
- This role requires physical fitness due to standing, walking and bending throughout the day every day.
