The Company is currently recruiting for a **Material Handler** to join our team. The Material Handler reports directly to the Materials Manager and will be working closely with production and purchasing.

**Job Duties**:

- Receive and put away materials
- Verify received quantity against packing slips
- Communicate and resolve and discrepancies with purchasing
- Organize, store and dispose hard copies of packing slip/purchase orders copies
- Maintain various excel log sheets with material status
- Perform weekly cycle count and update KANBAN count sheets
- Accurately stock and remove raw materials as per the inventory plan
- Prepare and organize material to suppliers as per cut sheets
- Issue raw material to production lines in a timely and safe manner as per the BOM
- Inventory management, maintain target inventory level for raw and finished good products, cycle counting and physical inventory
- Attend production schedule meetings. Review plan vs. actual to ensure no shortage of material
- Wearing all required PPE (personal protective equipment) and adhering to health & safety protocol
- Maintaining forklift and combi-lift equipment
- Assist in any other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager

**Skills and Abilities Required**:

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must have good communication skills; written and verbal
- Able to use Microsoft Outlook and Excel effectively
- Previous data entry experience working with an ERP (preferably Syspro) is considered an asset

**Qualifications**:

- Preferably a high school diploma (OSSD) or related equivalent experience
- Minimum two years experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Prior experience in forklift combi-lift is an asset

**Salary**: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
