**PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATE (25-R13)**

**Status: Temporary Full Time**
**Department: Mental Health Outpatient Program**
**Site: St. Joseph's Health Centre**
**Rate of Pay:$47.86 - $62.94 per hour**
Under the direct supervision of the Manager - Mental Health Outpatient Program, the Psychological Associate is responsible for psychological services determined by the incumbent's declared areas of competency, and the relevant Service mandate. Key responsibilities for this role include the assessment, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of behavioural and mental disorders and dysfunctions; and the maintenance and enhancement of physical, intellectual, emotional, social and interpersonal functioning. The Psychological Associate is expected to work effectively within a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary team environment in the performance of responsibilities as described below.
**Qualification**:
**Education/Experience**:
- M.A. in Psychology; (specialization in Clinical, Clinical Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation will be given preference)
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Psychology of Ontario
- Work experience relevant to the position
**Skills/Abilities**:
- Assessment skills in the following areas: cognitive, behavioural, affective, and personality assessment
- Demonstrated treatment/intervention skills relevant to the position(s)
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and within multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary team settings
- Demonstrated ability and eligibility to supervise students
- Demonstrated ability to work in an ethical and professional manner
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:
- Registered member of Professional College in good standing
- Must undergo a successful Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
