**Job Summary**
Altus Group is seeking a Tax Consultant to join the Property Tax team in Calgary. The role involves property tax assessment review and appeal, and includes full task management, from assignment to delivery, with final review by senior staff.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Market Intelligence & Client Development: Lead market research, guide junior staff, and use data to identify new opportunities and expand revenue with existing clients
- Valuation & Assessment: Lead property inspections and propose opinions on appeal merits
- Reporting & Client Management: Manage client engagements, ensuring timely reports and accurate invoicing
- Reporting & Client Management:Supervise junior staff work and maintain client satisfaction
- Appeal Procedures: Administer the entire appeal process for your assigned projects, ensuring all deadlines are met and documentation is prepared accurately
- Appeal Procedures: Negotiate with assessors and represent clients as an expert witness in hearings

**Key Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Law, Business, or Economics preferred.
- Working toward or holds a relevant appraisal/assessment designation (AACI, AMAA, PGCV, AIMA, CAE) preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in areas of property tax, consulting, assessment, commercial appraisal, or asset management.
- Technical expertise in valuations, appeals, and applicable legislation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
