**Job Summary**
The **Commercial Sales Broker** is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients by identifying, prospecting, and securing new business opportunities while maintaining strong, long-term relationships. This role involves assessing client needs, advising on appropriate insurance solutions, and collaborating with internal underwriting teams and external insurance markets to place policies that align with business requirements. As the primary point of contact for clients, the Commercial Sales Broker ensures ongoing service, policy renewals, and risk management support. Success in this role requires a results-driven approach, deep market knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prospect and build relationships with new and existing commercial clients to maintain a strong business pipeline.
- Assess client needs, identify risks, and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
- Research and negotiate with insurance markets to secure competitive and tailored coverage.
- Manage the full sales cycle — from consultation and quoting to policy issuance and servicing.
- Provide exceptional ongoing service, including renewals, policy reviews, and client support.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal policy structure.
- Maintain detailed client records and documentation in CRM systems.
- Participate in networking and professional development to strengthen market knowledge.
- Uphold all regulatory, licensing, and ethical standards while promoting BIG’s reputation for excellence.
**Periodic Responsibilities**
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to provide clients with timely and relevant insurance guidance.

- Participate in industry networking events, professional development opportunities, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and client service capabilities.
**What You Will Bring**
- Active **RIBO license** (mandatory)
- Minimum **2 years of experience** in commercial lines or insurance sales
- Proven track record in **business development and client retention**:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong understanding of insurance products and market dynamics
**Compensation**: 100% Commission
**Location**: Belleville, Ontario (**Remote option available**)
