**Role Overview**

**This position is located at our Montreal office.**

As a Linehaul Dispatcher you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of goods by coordinating and optimizing fleet movement. The Dispatcher maintains regular communication with drivers, ensuring effective issue resolution and optimized scheduling thereby contributing to an enhanced driver experience.

**Key Accountabilities**

**Dispatch/ Driver Communication**
- Communicate with the drivers on dispatch related issues (I.e. route updates, customer requirements, delivery deadlines etc.) and resolution in a timely manner.
- Plan for next day dispatch for the drivers.
- Track and trace the status of the import containers and export bookings at the ports.
- Track the pars (custom shipment) on the custom website to ensure driver can smoothly cross the border.

**Third Party/ External Stakeholder Communication**
- Communicate with the ports and terminals representatives to ensure driver issues are resolved in a seamless manner.
- Communicate with CBSA and CBP officials to ensure drivers can smoothly cross the border.
- Coordinate with the Monarch team to ensure that ACE and ACI are prepared prior to driver’s arrival at the border.

**Scheduling/Routing** **and Documentation**
- Plan and schedule driver routes in an efficient manner that optimizes delivery schedules, ensuring timely delivery while reducing transportation costs for customers.
- Book the port appointments according to the respective port schedules.
- Update the import tracking spreadsheet and driver payout in Dispatch Mate for drivers.

**Customer Service**
- Provide excellent customer service by updating customers on the status of their shipments, addressing inquiries, and resolving any transportation related issues.
- Ensure that any special customer requests are communicated to relevant parties.
- Establish positive relationships by being attentive, responsive and reliable.

**Safety, Equipment and Compliance**
- Coordinate with the RESC (Equipment team) department for equipment availability (I.e. chasisis)
- Assign the chassis to the drivers for their planned dispatch.
- Respond promptly to any transportation emergencies
- Ensure drivers operate in compliance with safety regulations

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in logistics industry.
- Post secondary high school diploma from a recognized institution
- Fluency in French is strongly preferred
