Maritime Mechanical is experiencing steady growth and we are looking to grow our team. This position will report to the lead **Journeyman Plumber**position.

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start a rewarding career in plumbing. As an Apprentice Plumber, you will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers, gaining hands-on experience and valuable skills in the plumbing trade. This role requires a willingness to learn and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

**Duties**
- Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand plumbing layouts.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks.
- Help in welding and basic carpentry tasks as needed during installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
- Develop mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills in plumbing techniques and safety protocols.

**What we are looking for**:

- 2-8 years of experience in commercial, institutional and/or industrial buildings
- Registered Apprentice - 3rd or 4th Year Is Preferred
- Able to take direction and eager to learn
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
- Able to pass a criminal record check
- Clear Child Abuse Registry
- Ability to obtain necessary clearance upon hire for specific projects
- Ability to think outside the box and solve problems as they arise
- Passion for safety and working as part of a team of people
- Self-starter and always one step ahead of what’s expected and your call of duty
- Reliable and punctual

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 48 per week
