**Key Purpose**

The Accounts Payable Specialist processes accounts payable transactions and generates payments to vendors and payees, audits credit card bills, answers vendor inquiries, and reconciles vendor statements.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**
- Batch, code, obtain approval, enter, and issue payment and file all A/P invoices
- Correspond with subcontractors seeking payment, manage expectations, and build relationships
- Address, document and follow through on all A/P discrepancies
- Effectively communicate with team members to obtain required invoice approvals
- Monitor A/P aging and keep accounts current
- Subcontractor holdback maintenance and release
- Prepare accurate supporting schedules for project progress draws
- Collaborate with the finance team as a key participant in month-end procedures

**Key Knowledge and Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong technical and analytical focus
- Ability to work within established policies and procedures at a steady, even pace to promote accuracy and quality of work
- Effective communication skills and supportive, collaborative approach with management and peers

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- 4 - 6 years full-cycle A/P experience in Construction, Manufacturing or Logistics
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma with a major in Accounting
