**Purpose of the position**

The position will be responsible for (but not limited to):

- Choreographing, organizing, and facilitating fitness related classes and workshops ensuring different fitness levels are taken into consideration and community needs and interests are met.
- Providing administrative support to the Recreation & Community Services Division to assist in achieving organization vision, goals, and strategies.
- Supporting user/public safety and risk management ensuring County programs comply with provincial standards and legislation.
- Other duties as required.

To be successful in this position, you will come with:

- an Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association (AFLCA) Group Exercise Leadership Certification, Can-Fit Pro, or related group certification
- Previous experience instructing in a fitness environment
- a background in nutrition is an asset
- High-Five Principles of Healthy Child Development is an asset
- Standard First Aid, CPR and AED Certification (or willing to obtain)
- Knowledge of municipal government and the administration of public recreation facilities
- a valid Class 5 Driver’s License

**Position details**
- Salary range: $34.44 - $44.13 hourly
- Casual position - working days, evenings, and weekends as required.
