**THE INTERMEDIATE SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL.**
**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:
- Manage, maintain, and optimize company servers, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, scalability and cost optimization.
- Establish build management processes and work with developers, vendors and others to ensure proper deployments.
- Manage, maintain and document development and test environments and support load testing.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware systems to meet organizational needs.
- Automation of tasks to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Implement and enforce security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls, to protect company data and systems from cyber threats.
- Respond to security incidents and take remediation actions to mitigate risks, resolve vulnerabilities, and restore systems to a secure state.
- Manage database access and permissions, and performing database administration tasks using Microsoft SQL Server. Assist in troubleshooting performance issues.
- Respond to and resolve IT support requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Develop, maintain, and test system backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Communicate with vendors to procure IT equipment, software licenses, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with organizational standards.
- Work closely with the IS team to support large-scale IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and process improvements.
- Create and maintain detailed diagrams and documentation of systems, processes, and configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with IT policies.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or relevant qualification
- Minimum 4 years’ hands-on relevant technical experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of key operating systems (Microsoft, Linux, Mac O/S)
- Hands-on experience working in an Azure cloud environment is required
- Azure certification is required; AWS certification is nice to have
- Knowledge of DevOps including use of tools like Gitlab, Ansible, Azure DevOps
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of flexibility with the ability to adapt to a changing environment
- High degree of responsibility and attention to detail
- Proven track record of delivering collaborative and business-focused solutions
