General Summary: Troubleshoot and repair of all types of Spartek Systems manufactured surface and downhole logging instruments, sub-assemblies, accessories, wire-harnesses, and PCB's as needed. Use of low and high temperature solder as required for each product type. **Duties**: - Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Spartek Systems manufactured equipment at the board-level and system level relying on systematic trouble-shooting logic. - Conduct board level and system level testing of surface and subsurface equipment - Identify, report and assist others in determining root-cause failures related to all aspects associated with assembly of instrumentation and equipment. - Interpret field documented symptoms and reports to aid in the diagnosis/repair of equipment - Use of proper soldering techniques as defined and required by Spartek Systems - make entries in database system as needed - Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and follow systematic methods for trouble-shooting electronic and mechanical equipment. - Proficient use of electronic measurement equipment such as scopes, meters, and other lab instruments to aid in trouble-shooting and testing equipment. Abide by all Repair Department and company established HSE safety procedures and policies and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications: Electronics Diploma from technical institute. Experience working with electronic oilfield equipment would be beneficial. Fluent in English Must be a Canadian Citizen or have "Permanent Residence" status.
