Project Manager - Commercial Aluminum and Glass - Relocation to Whitehorse, Yukon

Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Operations, the Project Manager is a key part of our commercial team and oversees the entire life cycle of a project, from estimating and bid preparation, through managing execution of the work to issuing certificates of substantial / total completion and billing. Through a quality team, the Project Manager will be accountable for overall project performance including timelines, profitability and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and work plans.
- Oversee and direct the work of subcontractors, vendors and other personnel.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the desired quality.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, engineers and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement safety plans and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to the project plan.
- Prepare progress reports and present them to upper management.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure it is organized and accessible.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.

**Requirements**:

- 2 - 4 years of ICI construction project management, preferably in the areas of commercial aluminum and glass or other similar architectural products.
- Completion of a post-secondary education program in Construction Management and the PMP an asset.
- Proficient in both written and verbal English, with the ability to undertake moderately complex technical correspondence and conversations, as well as to provide clear direction to project team members.
- Ability to review and interpret contracts, ensuring any additional work outside of project scope is identified and billed appropriately.
- Adept at multi-tasking and prioritizing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Customer service oriented, with the ability to always represent Northerm in a positive manner, maintaining a professional tone and approach to both verbal and written communications.
- Integrity and accountability.
- Willingness to learn.
- A valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and a clean driver’s abstract.
