Shunt Driver

Transport clerks check contents, and compile and check documents of freight goods, tally and record consignments and destination details of products.

**Essential Functions**
- Loads outgoing trucks and unloads incoming trucks at shipping bay.
- Shunt trucks in and out of loading docks
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Fills out a Receiving Report to document cleanliness of product and truck and to ensure proper temperature.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Pick (assemble) the order if on the night shift to aid in speedy and efficient loading when truck arrives next day.
- Marks shrink-wrapped product/skid with destination information.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments.
- Operate lift truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Valid license for AZ license and counterbalance and Raymond Reach
- All other duties as may be required from time to time

**Physical Demands**
- May be required to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time.
- Will be required to engage in bending, stooping, squatting and ladder climbing.
- Due to the environment, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions which include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
- Will be required to move product in and out of freezer
- May be required to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg or 50 lbs)

**Health and Safety**
- Conduct all Job Tasks in a Safe and Responsible manner.
- Participate in all Health and Safety, GMP and HACCP training as required.
- Report any accidents, incidents and unsafe/hazardous conditions to your lead hand/supervisor.
- Report any damages of property and machinery to your lead hand/supervisor.
- Ensure that you understand how and when to use the Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) that is located in your work area.
- Ensure you comply with OHSA, WSIB, MOL regulations and/or laws that govern “workers” responsibilities in the workplace (covered during orientation - section 28 of the OHSA i.e. “Green Book”) and Comply with Tradition Fine Foods Ltd. Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices, and HACCP Programs

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**
- Education equivalent to the completion of grade 12.
- Has good communication skills, is well-organized and able to work efficiently and accurately.
- Valid AZ License
- Forklift certified on Counterbalance & Walkie (Raymond Reach would be considered an asset)
- Computer literate and able to read bar codes
