**ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER - General Construction**

**Full Job Description**

Seaforth is located in Toronto and we are looking for an **Assistant Project Manager **to join our growing team. If you possess the skills and abilities, and you are experienced in Commercial/Industrial/Interior Construction, then we want to speak with you

**Responsibilities**
- Perform multiple site visits to assist in overall construction coordination/planning and project completion.
- Identifies and assists in resolving complex field technical issues.
- Construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Managing the sub-contractors to ensure compliance with contractual requirements are met.
- Planning and scheduling the sub-trades
- Procurement of construction materials
- Must be well organized
- High level of initiative and keen interest in problem solving
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Maintains contract with sub-trades, administration, answering inquires and monitoring progress
- Reviews and understands broader contract obligations as per the responsible project and work scopes.
- Manages change order process and reviewing with project manager.
- Performs simple estimates.
- Maintains, performs and/or supervises project document control and procedures
- Some after hours and weekend work will be required
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in an operational role preferred.
- Must have valid WHMIS, Working at Heights and First Aid /CPR training
- Good knowledge of material, methods and the tools involved in the construction process.
- Valid Class G driver's license - with a clean record is essential.
- Reliable vehicle
- Detailed knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, project health, safety and environment (HSE), quality and building materials.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with a strong aptitude to adopt new technology
- General civil and commercial construction knowledge; understanding of plans, specifications, methods and procedures.
- Experience with the Design Build Process.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects at one time as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
