**We are looking to have a full-time Audit Specialist join our team Although this position will be primarily remote, occasional trips to Montreal, Ottawa or Markham will be required.**

**Please note that for security clearance purposes, you must be a Canadian Citizen/ Permanent Resident and have been residing in Canada for at least 5 years.**

**SUMMARY**

The Audit Specialist is responsible for the preparation and coordination of planning, reporting, cost control and audit interface. This job provides support to all accounting and reporting functions including the accounting/reporting needs of BGIS staff members. This position has a more concentrated focus on audit, overall financial reconciliations and FP&A.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the preparation & coordination of planning, reporting, cost control & client interface
- Ensure data integrity through the management of data quality reviews, reconciliations & the implementation of data management processes
- Review and approve monthly invoicing and balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee and review the operational and financial reporting internal controls for the contract
- Support internal & external audit requirements while interfacing with auditors for inquiries relating to project related audits.
- Prepare and evaluate working capital forecasts while providing in-depth variance analysis
- Provide additional support to the Senior Finance Manager and Project National Lead
- Support the preparation & analysis of various financial reports

**EDUCATION, JOB-RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**

**MINIMUM EDUCATION**:University graduation or professional certification (e.g. P. Eng, CMA, CGA or equivalent courses)

**JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE**: More than five years up to ten years

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Post-Secondary training in accounting and computer systems with five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in a financial accounting position
- Comfortable in working with large volume of data
- Exposure to project delivery or construction industry
- Oracle experience will be an asset
- Strong excel skills
- Strong customer relation skills
- Ability to lead and be a team player
- Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
