**Duties**:

- Provide water operator, maintenance and repair services for the operation of several small water systems.
- Operate and maintain water facility systems and equipment. The duties include collecting samples, performing biological sample analysis, performing multiple phase adjustments to systems and processes, report, elaborate and discuss finding and make adjustments and prepare and submit sampling and analysis results to quality control facilities.
- Assist trades with start-up and shut down of seasonal facilities and operation of the system throughout the year.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and procedures on all facilities and equipment within their scope of responsibilities and to maintain records of such inspections.
- Maintain as required, daily, monthly, and annual records of the water and sewer utility in a neat and legible manner.
- Perform such laboratory test as may be required for quality and process control and to maintain records of such tests.

EDUCATION
- Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial standards or acceptable combination of training and experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
- Experience in one or more of the technical functions which may include: plumbing, commercial/residential building repair/maintenance, equipment repair/maintenance
- Experience in the use, operation and maintenance of a range of manual and power tools and equipment

**Conditions of employment**:

- Possession and maintenance of a valid class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent
- Will be required to undergo and pass pre-placement and periodic medical checks
- Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required
