**POSITION**:Fleet Driver - Flatbed Operator**
**LOCATION: Ottawa, Ontario**
**TERM: Full-Time, 12 Month Contract**
**Summary**
Our Fleet Drivers play a pivotal role in CAANEO's mission of delivering exceptional emergency roadside assistance services. They ensure CAA/AAA Members receive prompt and professional service, prioritizing Member safety and satisfaction.
**Schedule**:
- Afternoon/evening shiftwork, 2 week rotation
- 80 hours biweekly
- Weekends off every second week
**Duties/Responsibilities**
Respond to dispatched calls in Ottawa-area as required and provide CAA/AAA members with appropriate road service.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Operating a Flat-Bed Tow Truck
- Vehicle battery testing and installation
- Vehicle boosting
- Tire changes and inflations
- Fuel delivery
- Minor extrications
- Vehicle unlocking
- Seasonal tire changes (CAA Mobile Tire service)
- Windshield chip repair (CAA Mobile Windshield Chip Repair service)
- Other duties as directed by the club
**Requirements**: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous Flat Bed experience required
- Strong independent problem-solving skills
- Automotive mechanical knowledge necessary
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with testing and replacing car batteries an asset
- Ability to work in extreme weather
- Occasional heavy lifting required (up to 80 pounds)
- Valid G Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to club standards
- Fluency in both official languages an asset
- Successful applicant will be required to join Unifor Local 414.
**Compensation**:
- Base Salary: $24.60 per hour
- Additional Per Call Payment
- Overtime available
