We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as Manager of Reporting & Compliance. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this key role will work alongside the finance team managing the company’s reporting and compliance activities. This is a newly created position with potential for growth for the successful incumbent.

The Manager of Reporting & Compliance will:

- Overall responsibility for the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency within the reporting processes and accounting department.
- Co-ordinate and communicate with external auditors, tax authorities and other regulatory bodies
- reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Respond to internal requests for financial information to support the business.
- Ensure compliance with government sales tax regulations with timely, accurate payments.
- Research and help implement best practices within the accounting team.
- Provide training and support to ensure team members are up-to-date with reporting standards and practices.
- Communicate financial information clearly to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial reporting systems.

To be successful you will need:

- 5+ years’ experience in accounting or financial reporting, with a track record of increasing responsibility
- CPA designation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong Understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Advanced Excel Skills with the ability to analyze financial data and identify trends, issues and opportunities
- Experience with Dynamics GP and Vivid Reports an asset
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, manage projects, and influence decision-making
