Etl Development Lead

**What role will you play?**:

- Manage technical project deliveries, design development process improvements, manages and drives development activities across data analytics product teams.
- Taking lead on assisting in designing ETL EDW solutions which includes diagnosing complex technical problems, performance code optimization, and setting development standards and processes.
- Hands-on responsibilities for Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) design and development for the DI Development team
- Ensure proper technical document standards are followed and maintain ETL processes related documentation across the EDW.
- Work closely with data architects, data integration (ETL) and business intelligence developers, DBAs, and other technical SMEs to ensure alignment of standard development methods and practices.
- Work closely with QA team for regular QA defects review process.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with production support for any operational issue escalations.
- To liaise with our business partners to ensure effective coordination and understanding of the full technology and process implementation.
- Lead and guide the developers with their career and yearly goals, performance review, regular meeting and career planning.
- Able to share/teach relevant technological innovation and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other developers.
- Attend regular Agile daily stand-up meetings and other scrum meetings as needed
- Represent Data Analytics with the business sponsors identifying appropriate Data Integration solutions during project initiation phase
- Work on the strategic migration from on-premise to Cloud

**Experience**:

- Experience designing/developing/implementing ETL solutions (landing, Integration and semantic) particularly applied to data analytics/data warehouse
- Experience with SQL/PL, SQL, SQL query optimization
- Ability to analyse customer requirements and define these as a formal specification for software development

**Knowledge**:

- Agile development and delivery methodologies
- Knowledge of Jira and Confluence

**Mandatory Skills**:

- Expert with ETL design and development using tools such as IBM InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage, Teradata Studio/SQL Assistant. Erwin, SAP PowerDesigner
- Expertise on ETL code optimization for performance and data.
- Expertise in end-to-end ETL data flow validation and control, able to set proper notifications, alerts or break points to maintain data accuracy.
- Expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), types of data capture SCDs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that can translate technical to non-technical audiences within various levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving, team, and time management skills.
- Cloud native technology knowledge (Azure, AWS, Google, ADF, Data Bricks, AKS, Event Hub, Stream Analytics, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics.)
- Able to provide mentorship and guidance to team members and help them achieve their career goals

**Nice to have**:

- Tableau, Business Objects, Power BI
- SAS

**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field or related experience.
