The Cafe Head Baker position involves working in a café, focused on baking, including days when the Chef is away. The position will involve various kitchen duties. This will include preparing baked offerings, designing and costing baking program, baking and food prep, kitchen cleaning and using small and large kitchen appliances in accordance with their safety procedures and manufacturers instructions. This will also include some 'front house' duties like interacting with customers, making coffee, setting up drinks and to go foods. All café staff will be following specific procedures and practices, and general cleaning duties in line with our Sanitation Safety Plan. Our mission is to employ people of all abilities.

Shifts are Tuesday to Saturday, 5:00am-10:00am.

**Requirements**:

- Successful completion of a baking program certificate or related experience
- Experience with and comfortable with placing orders and inventory management
- Experience with Marketman an asset
- Possession of a valid Emergency First Aid Certificate with CPR is an asset
- Possession of Food Safe Level 1
- Must be physically able to lift 20 lbs or more if needed.
- Must be reliable, punctual and able to take initiative
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Able to follow directions and work independently when required
- Strong attention to detail and shows consistency in work routines
- Ability to model appropriate behaviour for trainees at CSE (conduct, work performance, compliance with policy and procedures, professionalism, integrity, etc.)
- Must provide own non-slip closed toe shoes
- Must be able to provide own transportation to and from the work site

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.50 per hour
