Cleaning and feeding of all animals located on shelter property
- Taking all required information from customers either by phone or in person
- Answering of shelter phones
- Intake of and claiming of owned animals and all required paperwork
- Adoption of shelter animals
- Provide minor medical treatment if required to animals including vaccinations
- Caring for all animals located on shelter property
- With or without management’s input, determining what animals are suitable for adoption
- Completing all required paperwork and directing such information to the correct party
- Completion of any required reports that management may deem necessary
- Completion of any required paperwork in regards to all animal or non animal related matters as may be deemed necessary by management
- If required, assisting Officers outside of shelter property
- Assist fellow employees or management when required
- Comply with shelter policies and procedures

- Animal care / handling background
- Has never been investigated for cruelty to animals
- Good people skills; good communication skills
- Oral and written communication skills and good use of English (other languages an asset)
- Ability to work under direct supervision and take direction from management or work alone.
- A team player
- Physically able to lift heavy animals
- Able to report for work on short notice, good attendance and work record

Must have own transportation to and from the workplace, workplace may be in any municipality we service.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $18.85-$23.37 per hour
