Driver Instructor

Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Driving Instructor to join our team. As a Driving Instructor, you will be responsible for educating and training individuals on safe driving practices. This is a rewarding opportunity to help new drivers develop the skills and knowledge necessary for responsible and confident driving. Starting out at part time and can move into full time as well as teaching the in-class courses as well. We are looking for someone who is well organized to be management material.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide practical driving lessons to students, focusing on defensive driving techniques and safe vehicle operation
- Assess students' driving skills and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Develop customized lesson plans based on individual student needs
- Administer practical exams to evaluate students' readiness for obtaining a driver's license
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding lesson schedules, progress, and any concerns

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Driving Instructor or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, rules, and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively educate and engage students in a classroom setting
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Easy going personality with a great sense of humour
- Must have a clean driver's abstract (zero demerit points) and pass a criminal background check.
- Class G license for minimum of 5 years
- MTO driver instructor license (Signing bonus of $500.00 for licensed driver instructors)

Applicants without a Driving Instructor License must be willing to take a 4 week course (we will offer financial assistance to help pay for the course) but you will not be paid during the course. You must have a clean reliable vehicle and a dual brake will need to be installed on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Note: All positions at our company are paid positions.

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week
