Landscaping & Maintenance Sales Professional (I.e. Mindscape Producer)

**About**:
I start landscaping when I was 17 years old & continued to do so every summer until I completed my university degree. It’s been over 15 years since then. The accrued client base & experience lead to what became the officially registered (& insured) business known as Mindscape Landscapes®.

The business initially operated on small projects but increasingly larger projects became more common and eventually lead to the purchase of a small maintenance company in 2022.

Presently, in 2025, the website will be published for the public, the first producer (sales representative) is hired, a software will be implemented for the first time to improve the level of organization as the company is streamlined in preparation for future plans of scaling. As of 2025, the 3 main branches of the services we do are: Lawn Maintenance, Restoration projects and Landscaping projects.

**Position**:
Full Time Sales Representative (A.K.A. a Producer)

To all skilled salesperson with a passion for lawn maintenance and landscaping Mindscape Landscapes is seeking a dynamic and goal-oriented individual to join our team as a Producer (Sales Representative).

As a Producer at Mindscape Landscapes, you will play a vital role in creating work opportunities and shaping beautiful landscapes for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to offer tailored services to clients based on their specific needs, focusing on lawn maintenance, restoration projects, and landscaping projects. You will have the autonomy to work independently and will be assigned specific neighbourhoods to target for sales. With a designated price range for each service, you will have the flexibility to negotiate and adapt your sales conversations to meet the client's requirements effectively.

During the initial training period, you will shadow an experienced sales representative to learn the ropes and gain insights into our sales processes. Following this, you will collaborate with the employer to develop a strategic plan to meet sales targets in your allocated neighbourhood. The role will initially prioritize lawn maintenance sales, offering a steady income stream throughout the season for successful sales. Subsequently, you can explore selling restoration or full landscaping projects based on your expertise level.

**Pay**: 18/hour + 5% commission.

3. Take initiative in learning new skills to improve their performance in sales.

4. Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their landscaping needs.

5. Schedule visits with specific clients when required (for ex, if they don’t have enough time to go their property with you at that moment, offering to reschedule may be a good alternative)

6. Prepare and present accurate proposals, including materials, the process, expected duration and pricing.

7. Collaborate with the design team to ensure client visions are accurately represented in proposals.

8. Follow up with client’s post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

9. Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitive offerings to effectively communicate value propositions.

10. Attend trade shows, community events, and networking opportunities to promote services.

11. Keeping foresight and communicating any anticipated concerns such as weather

12. Prioritizes safety with all regards.

13. Ensures they have a reliable mode of transportation team members are working efficiently as well as taking their designated breaks.

14. Ensures they can independently manage their time as to when and where they will have a lunch or break.

15. Ensures they are prepared for the weather for ex. being appropriately dressed for the weather, ensuring they brought enough water and food etc.
