**Position: Behaviour Intervener/Child Care Worker**

**Position Type: 5-10 hours per week with the potential to increase**

**Schedule: 2 hours per day, 5 days a week**

**Location: Pitt Meadows, BC**

**Wage: $21-$25/hour depending on experience with wage reviews annually**

**Scope of Work**:
We are seeking Behaviour Intervener/Child Care Workers to work one-on-one with our clients to implement client specific _Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)_intervention plans that are developed by our team of specialists.

**Qualifications**:*
- Minimum 3 months experience (volunteer, practicum, or paid) working with special needs populations, preferably Autism
- Post secondary education in a related area of study such as: Disability and Applied Behaviour Analysis, Special Education, Child & Youth Care, Early Childhood Education, Psychology or Social Work
- Access to a reliable vehicle, valid Driver’s License, and clean driving record.
- Ability to set boundaries and work professionally in client’s homes

Check and obtain their Emergency First Aid/CPR.

**Working Conditions**
- Willingness to work with clients who may exhibit challenging behaviors, including aggression.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols, including de-escalation techniques, regular team check-ins, and MANDT training.
- There is potential for workers to experience verbal aggression, such as swearing, or physical aggression, which could result in injury.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
