**Underhill Geomatics** is a progressive land surveying firm with offices in Fort St. John, Kamloops, Burnaby, Comox, and Whitehorse. Operating since 1913, Underhill continues to provide technologically advanced, flexible, and efficient geospatial solutions for all our clients’ needs within British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

We are seeking a Survey Assistant for our Kamloops office. As a Survey Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the surveying team in various field and office tasks. You will assist surveyors in conducting surveys, collecting data, and performing other duties essential to the successful completion of surveying projects. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical fitness, and the ability to work effectively in outdoor environments.

Duties include:

- Setting up and operating survey equipment (GPS, total stations, levels)
- Collecting measurements, field notes, and images
- Marking and staking survey points
- Maintaining equipment, vehicles, and warehouse
- Assisting with data entry, documentation, and inventory
- Supporting safety protocols and inspections
- Providing general office and administrative support
- Participating in training and professional development

**Requirements**:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certification in surveying is an asset.
- Travel: Must be willing to work overtime hours and be prepared to travel for out of town work.
- Driver’s License: Valid Class 5 license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in all weather and terrain. Must be comfortable walking in brush and on slopes, using ladders and stairs, and lifting up to 5-20 kg occasionally.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
