**Indigenous Relations Specialist - Regulatory Lead**

Annual salary: $ 107,000.00 - 135,300.00

**Position Highlights**

Indigenous Relations (IR) is looking for an innovative Indigenous Relations Specialist - Regulatory Lead to support IR's
Projects, Programs, and Operations team (PPO). The PPO team works directly with IR regional teams, Regulatory and
other BC Hydro teams to ensure BC Hydro meets their legal duty to consult First Nations, meet their regulatory compliance
obligations as well as meet their related records and reporting requirements.

The position will deliver quality consultation practices and ensure regulatory compliance, while facilitating a high level of
collaboration amongst First Nations and internal partners. The position will report directly to the PPO’s Team Lead. The
Indigenous Relations Specialist - Regulatory Lead role is a hybrid position based out of either the BC Hydro Dunsmuir office
located in Vancouver, BC or Edmonds office located in Burnaby, BC.

**What you'll do**
- You will be responsible for overseeing IR’s involvement in various planning processes, such as Revenue Requirements

preparing for responses to information requests from the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) and Interveners,
and ensuring timely coordination and review of those responses according to regulatory deadlines.
- Take charge of IR’s role in government and corporate efforts to simplify regulatory procedures. Make sure there’s smooth

communication with the government regarding IR’s scope, all while supporting effective decision-making.

- Stay informed about emerging technologies and their impact on the utility industry.

**What you bring**

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the utility industry.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, provincial, and local regulations governing utilities.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex legal and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of successful regulatory advocacy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
