Hamilton High Street Senior Residence is centrally located in East Richmond, only minutes of drive to New Westminster, Burnaby, and Richmond Center, and we are looking for empathetic, positive and passionate individuals in joining our team to support a lifestyle of choices and freedom for our residents.

**Position Summary**:
Cleaning, janitorial, and laundry duties in resident units, common areas, and premises.

**Experience/Qualifications**:
1. Must have previous experience in Retirement/ Hotel setting

2. Eco-green cleaning experience

3. Basic telephone skills.

4. Basic security procedures.

5. Calm and organized manner

6. Strong communication skills

**Education**:
1. Must be able to read, write and comfortably communicate in English.

2. Must successfully complete any pre-employment testing when required.

3. Successful completion of recognized WHMIS program.

**Personal Characteristics**:
1. Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling resident matters, day-to-day community operations requiring good customer service skills.

2. Empathy for and an understanding of the needs of seniors, older adults, their families and the professionals engaged in their care.

3. Must be able to perform physical work, i.e. lifting, bending etc.

4. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

5. Must have a professional, welcoming, and positive attitude.

**Others**:
1. Must be free from communicable diseases.

2. Criminal Record check - pre-employment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
