To request an accommodation, please contact a member of the Ceva Talent Acquisition team. **Your missions**: Production Bird Care Technician 6-Month Contract Guelph, ON Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30pm The Poultry Barn Cleaner and Bird Care Technician will be responsible for the bird room cleaning and bird care, ensuring that all aspects of animal care and vaccine production are in compliance with approved Outlines of Production (O.P.), Special Outlines (S.O) and Standard Operating Procedures. (S.O.P.) Additionally, will assist in vaccine production and may be required to work weekend after initial training. **Duties Include**: General Preparation of Equipment, Supplies and Rooms - Weekly inventory check of supplies - Clean and sanitize production and animal facilities - Maintenance and Care of birds and bird rooms - Order Feed and Supplies as needed - Help with the inoculation of birds. Vaccine Production in the Laboratory - Assist with the production of different Eimeria species in the laboratory as per the production schedule. - Assist with general cleaning duties associated with the daily operations. General Documentation - Detailed, accurate, concurrent, complete record keeping General Miscellaneous - Follows all safety procedures - Follows standard operation procedures and company policies Maintenance and Care of Birds and Bird Rooms - Feed and water all birds and record observations as set out - Control room temperature and humidity - Replace or clean vent filters - Clean and disinfect empty bird rooms - Record in Logbook when rooms cleaned and disinfected - Record daily temperature of all refrigerated units; report problems - Order Feed and Supplies as needed **Your profile**: About You - You have a minimum education of a High School Diploma or GED - Ideally, you have previously worked with farm or lab animals - Idally you have basic knowledge of cleaning and bird care. - You have knowledge of documentation and record keeping. - You are able to operate technical machinery and computerized equipment (incl. machine controls and instrumentation). - You have a passion for farming and working with animals. - You think science and innovation is awesome.
