If you are looking for a challenging job where you will need to put all your technical and AI expertise to good use, the role of Research and Development Specialist - Artificial Intelligence for Pomerleau’s operations is for you.

Are you a true expert when it comes to using or integrating AI technologies and innovations to seize optimization opportunities and solve complex problems in the construction sector? As an R&D Specialist - Artificial Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of construction by researching and contributing to the development of AI-centric innovative solutions. **Responsibilities**:

- Conduct AI-focused technological watch in academia and industrial or professional sectors;
- Document your AI-related results and findings in reports (business cases), research papers, and articles;
- Manage AI-centered development projects with internal or external teams;
- Attend and summarize different events relating to the intersection of the construction industry and artificial intelligence;
- Support the operations teams in identifying key opportunities for AI advancements and process improvements that align with the company's strategic goals;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and optimize process maps, streamlining workflows and identifying areas for automation or AI enhancement.
- Bridge the gap between the needs of internal clients and development teams to enhance the effectiveness of AI solutions.

**What YOU Will Bring**
- 2-3 years of experience in the AEC industry or research on AI technology that is or could be related to the AEC;
- A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or a combination of education and AEC industry experience;
- Mobility (Canada)
- A proven track record of AI-focused research projects, project development or management;
- Solid written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficiency with computers especially with AI and machine learning tools;
- A proven knowledge of the current trends regarding AI and innovation in the AEC industry;
- Proficiency in programming languages
- Great ability to synthesize complex AI concepts into professional reports.
- Analytics skills (PowerBI, Sisense, etc.) is a plus.
- Bilingual (French and English) is mandatory.
- Ability to work well and communicate with both field and office personnel.
- Must be self-driven and able to lead AI initiatives.
