In short, we treat all employees as family and we respect that each team member, regardless of his or her function or title, is equally important to the company. **JOB PURPOSE**: The successful student will work with some of the best Mould Makers and Engineers in the plastics industry and be given the opportunity to work on some of the most technically challenging non-commodity moulds in the world, including planetary rotational cores, with internal mechanical movements, rotating gear rings, insert moulding and mould over parts. MPC is known worldwide as a precision plastic parts supplier for the automotive industry; we manufacture the most challenging parts with the highest quality standards and complex configurations requiring close tolerances of up to 0.0002" (0.005 MM). **DUTIES**: Champion various 5S projects in the toolroom Assist in the building of injection mould parts and components by manually grinding, machining, polishing, drilling, milling and fitting moulds together (This is not a CNC operator position) Read and interpret engineering drawings Verify parts by checking dimension, clearances and alignments using various test equipment Perform general maintenance and cleanup of all Tool room machinery Participate in Continuous Improvement and assists in it's implementation on an on-going basis **JOB REQUIREMENTS** Enrolled in a post-secondary program in a related field Ability to work successfully in a fast paced team environment Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) an asset Experience using SolidWorks and related software considered an asset Previous experience in a fabrication or tool room considered an asset High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Highly organized Ability to multitask and prioritize to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met or exceeded **WHAT WE OFFER**: Our Culture, MPC provides a dynamic environment that challenges and rewards your technical skills.
