**Job Summary**

We are looking for Early Childhood Educators/Early Childhood Educator Assistants to join our Child Care staff team. In this role you will be expected to support programing and provide children with a developmentally appropriate, safe and healthy environment. We have part time and full time opportunities available. We follow all regulatory standards required by federal, provincial and municipal governments.

**Responsibilities**:
As an Early Childhood Educator/Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will be required to assist in the development and delivery of early years programming, communicate with families effectively, and assist in maintaining our play spaces. Light housekeeping is a part of the role, as is some documentation, staff meeting attendance, and ongoing professional development.

**Education Training and Experience**
- Early Childhood Education (ECE)/Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA)
- Current BC license to practice
- Documentation in accordance with Community Care Facilities Branch licensing requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills with parents and community members
- Willingness to work within a team setting

**Qualities and Skills**
- Ability to be energetic, resilient and maintain a sense of humour when personal resources are challenged
- Effective interpersonal skills under all types of conditions, exhibiting a supportive, positive approach.
- Able to perform in the physical effort for lifting, bending, stooping, carrying and reaching overhead.
- Knowledge of licensing requirements and health and safety legislation
- Well organized and ability to work autonomously with mínimal close supervision

**Weekly hours**: part time / full time

**Salary**: Assistants start at $21.47 per hour

Fully qualified ECE's start at $24.61 + $4 wage enhancement minimum
