**Operations Planning Specialist**

Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Edmonds Annex - W3

Employment type: Temporary Region: Lower Mainland

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid

Annual salary: $ 127,900.00 - 161,800.00

**What you'll do**
- Creates Operational Road Map development and implementation for future updated isolated microgrids. Includes

operational growth needs, changes in operational roles, changes in operational work orders / tasks, changes in operations
budgets, contract strategies, or other needs associated with labour.
- Creates monthly reporting on actions tracking and sharing learnings with interconnected grid stakeholders.
- Leads an Annual Review Process, including Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management.
- Develops relationships with internal and external organizations for the purposes of understanding, advancing, and

implementing utility best practices in operational planning.
- Builds internal relationships with NIAPS, PCM, CIPD, and Field Operations.
- Creates external relationships with peer utilities and key vendors.
- Supports supply relationships with vendors for the provision of services or product.
- Attends Diesel Reduction Workshop attendance and reporting on operational needs for future micro-grids.
- Participates in Joint Operating Committees and support to establish new framework for working with First Nations in

CREPs.
- Acts as User Representative for NIAPS (CREP) and Station Upgrades for Renewable Energy Integration (SUREI)

Projects.
- Represents Operations in SAP Work Management transition.
- Leads Clean Energy Fuel strategy for Operations.
- Recommends and provides input into asset management programs such as capital planning initiatives, for the purposes of

improving operations.
- Investigates and analyses challenging or unique problems and recommends solutions.
- JOO development with each Community Renewable Energy Project (CREP).
- Provides technical leadership and acts as a technical resource on aspects related to operational planning.
- Provides input into employee development to maintain the required expertise.
- Assists Department in staff selection, training, and development.
- Leads change management for Operational Readiness goals to prepare for future microgrids.

**What you bring**
- Electrical Engineering designation
- Five years experience working in an asset management or operations environment of a distribution utility
- Strong working knowledge of current distribution automation trends and distribution management systems
