Position Summary
Canada Wide Rebar Ltd. is a leading provider of reinforcing steel solutions, committed to quality, efficiency, and innovation in the construction industry. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Assistant to support various departments within our company. This role is integral in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across office administration, production, and estimating/detailing functions. The Production Assistant role would include the opportunity to grow skills on the production floor including, Operating Forklifts, Cranes and Machines.
We are actively recruiting for an open role within our organization.
Position Functions
Office Administration
- Manage the order desk and process sundry sales pricing.
- Review and maintain inventory of office supplies, paper, accessories, and consumables.
- Assist in printing production tags.
- Support scheduling and coordination of inbound deliveries.
- Support the Estimating and Detailing teams as required.
- Print full-size drawings for the estimating department.
- Print and review project addendums and site instructions to ensure accurate documentation.

Production Shop Support
- Coordinate and oversee trades performing plant equipment maintenance.
- Manage trailer annual safety certifications and compliance.
- Order and maintain stock of shop supplies such as gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear.
- Receive and coordinate after-hours trade services, including electricians and pre-tied modular assemblers.

Required to stand, walk, lift, move and bend in various positions regularly. Lifting up to 50lbs required

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a production support role.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and procurement.
- Experience in the Steel/ manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery and equipment.
- Forklift and crane operation certification considered an asset.
