Lead Line Extruder Operator

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a Lead Line Extruder Operator to operator the Lead Extruder and various machines and production equipment in the manufacturing plant. The Lead Line Extruder Operator’s primary responsibilities include setting up machines, monitoring their performance during production runs, and adjusting the machines as required to ensure that production runs smoothly and on schedule.

**Responsibilities**
- Set up machines to proper specifications
- Operate lead melting furnace to produce bullets.
- Operate lead extrusion machines to form lead wire from bullets.
- Operate all braiding equipment as required
- Verify that the weight and sample length of extruded lead wire meet the required specifications.
- Monitor the proper functioning of all equipment.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety requirements.
- Other related duties as assigned (see Machine Operator Job Description)
- Operate lift truck to move raw materials/finished product as needed

**Qualifications**
- Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Physical strength to operate heavy equipment.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to complete work on time and in an efficient manner.
- Licensed to operate lift truck
- Previous experience operating industrial machinery, especially extrusion press machines, is preferred.
- Basic understanding of mechanical processes and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.

*Wage dependent upon skills, qualifications and experience*

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
