Hiring unit: Department of Bioresource Engineering
Session: Winter 2025: January 6, 2025 to April 11, 2025 (note exam period April 14-30, 2025)
Location and schedule: Lecture - Raymond R1-042 Tuesday/Thursday 8:35-9:55 a.m. & Conference - Raymond R1-042 Friday 10:05-10:55 a.m.
Teaching qualification requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience teaching advanced mathematics to students with a variety of academic backgrounds.
Education: Ph.D in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or other related field.
Experience: Experience teaching this course preferred.
Other qualification requirement(s) : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience teaching advanced mathematics to students with a variety of academic backgrounds.
Virtual learning platforms (e.g., Zoom, WebEx) and the McGill MyCourses learning management system. Training and assistance on remote teaching is available through Teaching and Learning Services (TLS).
Note: The McGill exam sessions take place over two weeks after the end of classes, and Course Lecturers are expected to be available on the day of a scheduled final exam and are required to grade final exams as part of their contract.
McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing.
