**Shift Time: 9:30am -6:00pm**
**JOB SUMMARY**
The Expeditor will play a key role in the control of KPI- Breakage and control of WIP over 5 days
The Expeditor will be looked upon as someone to champion efforts to improve by feeding back to Operations and Customer Care on a regular basis, if they notice common threads, contributors to delays, or breakages. They will intuitively know when and to whom they should give feedback on issues and concerns and how often.
**MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- **STANDARDIZATION**_
- Understands and follows all SOP for all tasks
- Understands and utilizes all methods of job tracking or late job follow up and communicates as required.
- Uses expedite late report and over 5-day late report to identify and move forward, delayed jobs
- Accepts inbound requests from RCCC staff and customer service, to expedite work on their behalf (urgent, extremely delayed, must ship today jobs)
- Edits, make changes, suggest, or make upgrades as needed, to move jobs forward
- Understands when jobs require a call to be placed to accounts and communicates the message clearly and comfortably to customer care
- Communicate common thread issues or concerns to the necessary department leaders so they can support improvements as indicated.
- Create and maintain a system of follow up to ensure that urgent jobs make it out the door as required. (must ship, etc) Create a strategy for someone to support the times outside of Expeditors’ own work day schedule where additional follow up actions might be required.
- Able to identify in house vs. outsource lab orders

- **EDUCATION**_
- Strong working knowledge of DVI
- **WORK EXPERIENCE**_
- Optical lab process knowledge and experience a must
- Customer service experience, DVI systems experience
- Technical, product knowledge and Optics training needed
- **WORKING CONDITIONS**_
- Low, moderate, and high noise levels (not to exceed standards)
- Near vision and sharp focus to adjust vision when doing close work.
- Occasional lifting/ carrying 10 lbs or less, pushing/ pulling 30 lbs 0r less.
**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
