**Who we need**

Our Ajax plant is adding Machine Operators (Utility Technicians) to our team. You will be trained on our high-quality standards and work as part of a team to support our multiple machine centers throughout the plant. You will also be responsible for learning how to safely and efficiently operate multiple high-speed packaging machines to support the business during peak seasons.

Shift Type: Rotating shifts on days (7 am - 3:30 pm), afternoons (3 pm - 11:30 pm) and nights (11 pm - 7:30 am). Must be able to work all three shifts and on weekends as required

Pay Rate: $22.64-$26.29/hour + shift premiums

**What you will do**:

- Learn. You will undertake training in primary and secondary roles and participate in annual performance reviews with your Supervisor. You will gain insights into the emphasis on quality and how to prevent mistakes that have a high-cost impact. You will build out a good understanding of our processing and packaging from end-to-end.
- Support the operation of high caliber, complex equipment. You will adhere to our high standards, working alongside us to achieve world-class safety results. You will:

- Assist the machine operator with troubleshooting and problem solving of the line equipment.
- Perform sanitation duties, quality checks, and safety checks of the line equipment.
- Operate packaging equipment set up and perform changeovers, under supervision.
- Make minor adjustments on the line equipment.

**What you bring to the role**:

- _ The certification and knowledge._ You have completed Grade 12 or equivalent, and manufacturing experience in highly-automated packaging equipment. You have a technical and a mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting, analytical, and mathematical skills.
