**Role Summary**
**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)**:
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Support the financial modeling of new opportunities and initiatives.
- ** Accounting & Compliance**:
- Support and consult on general accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations, including U.S. and Canadian standards.
- Prepare and file regulatory reports, including CRA compliance and audits, and collaborate on U.S. filings, particularly in Florida.
- Support annual financial audits and tax preparations.
- ** Pricing & Quoting**:
- Develop pricing strategies and assist in preparing detailed quotes for potential clients.
- Monitor cost structures to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
- ** Data & Process Optimization**:
- Use tools such as Power Query and other data analytics platforms to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
- Analyze and visualize business activity queries to provide deeper financial insights.
- ** Collaboration & Leadership**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic goals.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering growth within the department.
**Qualifications**
- ** Education**:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field recommended but not required.
- CPA designation is an asset but not mandatory.
- ** Experience**:
- Proven experience in financial management, ideally within contract manufacturing or a fast-paced environment.
- Strong background in pricing, quoting, and FP&A activities.
- Knowledge of U.S. (especially Florida) and Canadian accounting principles is highly recommended.
- Audit and CRA compliance experience is highly valued.
- ** Skills**:
- Proficiency in data analytics, including Power Query and other business intelligence tools. Like business activity queries.
- Experience utilizing Epicor or other accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a high-energy environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and process improvement.
