Your core skills in operating and maintaining equipment will be the main focus in your position. Grounds support is a full-time position that is versatile and self-driven. The following is a breakdown of typical tasks that will be required:

- Mowing lawns to the desired height.
- Edging along sidewalks, driveways, and flower beds.
- Trimming and pruning trees, shrubs, and bushes.
- Identifying and removing weeds from lawns and garden beds.
- Planting flowers, trees, and shrubs according to landscaping plans.
- Seeding or sodding bare patches in lawns.
- Following proper procedures and schedules for fertilization.
- Ensuring that lawns, plants, and flowers receive adequate water.
- Spreading mulch around plants and in garden beds to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
- Operating and maintaining lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Raking and collecting leaves.
- Removing debris from lawns and garden areas.
- Cleaning up and organizing tools and equipment after each job.
- Ensuring that the work area is neat and presentable.
- Interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Addressing customer concerns and providing information about lawn care practices.
- Adhering to safety guidelines and using personal protective equipment.
- Identifying and reporting potential safety hazards.
- Operating a ball picker to retrieve balls as required.
- Painting posts, fences, buildings as needed to maintain a tidy appearance.
