**POSITION - Manager Human Resources**
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Manager of Human Resources will provide support to the company’s corporate human resources functions as well as the wider REMCAN team (as directed) in the delivery of all / any services, programs, policies, and initiatives focusing on workforce planning, recruitment and benefit management.
- This position is based out of REMCAN’s corporate office in Langley, BC with remote work opportunities in place._
- Partner with various business leaders to manage and drive workforce requirements including talent sourcing and recruitment, development plans for progression within the organization and partnerships with training institutions and Indigenous community programs
- Research and develop innovative recruitment and selection processes
- Leading best practices in areas of employee engagement
- Establish company wide communication strategy on various projects, policy updates, ‘what’s new at REMCAN’, REMCAN in your community, and work with external consultant to establish a greater presence on social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and IG)
- Provide leadership and strategic advice in proactively addressing and / or resolving employee issues
- Ensuring best practices in company policies and procedures are established, communicated, and followed
- Manage various employee relations related issues and ensure compliance with provincial regulations
- Support annual Performance Management process for salaried employees including managing mid-year and year - end performance review and tracking of process
- Support formal leadership assessment process for employees moving into supervisory roles
- Be the champion of REMCAN’s organizational culture based on safety, compliance, accountability and integrity
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Excellent communication skills, effectively addressing complex and sensitive employee matters
- Adaptable in a fast-paced, detailed working environment and ability to provide HR analytics and processes
- Ability to build collaborative relationships within the HR Team and at all levels of the organization
- Excellent knowledge of provincial legislation including provincial Human Rights Acts and Employment Standards Acts and experience managing escalating issues under a collective bargaining agreement
- Exceptional Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills is required
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant discipline
- A minimum of 5+ years of generalist HR leadership experience, with at least 2+ years managing a team in a complex, industrial setting - similar work experience would be considered
- Experience in managing within a complex unionized environment would be considered an asset
- CHRP, SHRM or equivalent certification is preferred
