The Housekeeper 2 coordinates and directs the Environmental Services department by providing leadership and support to staff. This position supervises the staff and activities within the Environmental Services Department assuming administrative responsibilities and performing other related and allied duties.

**Duties Include**:

- Providing leadership and support to the Environmental Services Department;
- Interviewing job applicants for vacant positions
- Monitoring and evaluating employees;
- Developing and monitoring operating costs for the department;
- Developing staff assignments and reassigning staff to various areas bases on departmental requirements;
- Assisting with the planning and management of the Environmental Services Department;
- Establishing and maintaining procedures that will ensure required sanitation and quality standards in the Environmental Services Department
- Advising staff policies and procedures;
- Investigating and testing new equipment;
- Receiving and requisitioning of supplies/materials for the department;
- Supervises the staff and activities within the Environmental Services Department
- Measuring Quality Management for the department;
- Representing the department on various committees;
**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of Grade 12.
- Successful completion of a recognized Housekeeping/Environmental Services Course
- Extensive Housekeeping/Environmental Services experience in a Health Care setting.
- Must have supervisory experience
- Must have a good work and attendance record.

**Other Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of various computer programs such as Oracle, Peoplesoft, Word, and Excel would be considered an asset.
- Additional relevant education and experience would be considered an asset.

**Salary Range**:$29.04 - $33.05 per hour

**Bi-Weekly Hours**:75 Hours Bi-Weekly / Days / Every Second Weekend
