Assembler Level 3
As an Assembler - Level 3, you will fit and assemble components according to engineering diagrams and documents to build cabs or form sub-assemblies such as coolers, valves, engines, and tanks for heavy forestry equipment. To excel in this role, a combination of technical skills is required, including both problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
Job Duties
- Read and follow diagrams, drawings, specifications, bills of material, parts lists, and instructions to accurately assemble components.
- Utilize hand, power, and pneumatic tools to complete assembly tasks.
- Operate lifting devices such as jib cranes to complete assembly installations.
- Test and check electrical assemblies and wiring for proper connections.
- Repair or replace defective assemblies, components, and accessories.
- Ensure meticulous assembly through fit and alignment.
- Verify equipment functions and quality standards to prevent faulty products from reaching customers.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to adapt to a changing work environment, handle competing demands, and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
- Assembly tasks require collaboration with coworkers; effective communication and reasoning skills are essential when working on projects that involve multiple team members.
- Good level of manual dexterity and hand / eye coordination required.
- Physical requirements include the use of strength such as pulling, pushing, lifting and/or moving objects during the work, as well as standing, climbing, kneeling, and bending.
