**Overview**

We are looking for a host or hostess who is essential to the restaurant's front-of-house operations, as they establish the atmosphere for guests and ensure seamless coordination among guests, servers, and kitchen personnel.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Ensure guests have a positive experience starting with a friendly greeting and warm smile.
- Handle reservations effectively to maximize service efficiency while adhering to policies.
- Organize the restaurant by managing guest flow and seating capacity, communicating special requirements to both kitchen and service staff.
- Escort guests to their tables, engage in conversation, and seat them appropriately.
- Acknowledge repeat guests and maintain knowledge of menu items, table numbers, and server sections.
- Assist with take-out orders, ensuring accuracy in preparation and fulfillment of requests.
- Monitoring guests waiting during busy periods and maintaining a waitlist when required.
- Handling guest concerns or complaints with courtesy and professionalism, escalating to management when necessary.
- Accurately processing payments and managing cash or credit transactions if required.

**Job Requirements**
- Prior hosting experience is preferred.
- Enjoys working with people and has a passion for hospitality
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to proactively anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Able to work under pressure and excel in a fast-paced environment

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.55 per hour
