About You and this Role

Dow has an exciting opportunity available for an Electrical Maintenance Technician supporting the Ethylene production complex located in Fort Saskatchewan (AB, CAN).

In this role you will use your electrical knowledge and expertise to complete the planned work on the weekly maintenance schedule. You must maintain and repair a broad range of electrical equipment including motors, breakers, protection relays, heat tracing, etc. This role requires strong technical skills in industrial maintenance and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities
- Diagnoses and corrects equipment problems.
- Completes preventative maintenance activities.
- Specifies, requisitions, and installs parts and equipment.
- Assists in planning, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance through planner, work coordinator and operations input.
- Sets up and calibrates, tests, measures and repairs all types of electrical equipment.
- Repairs, maintains and installs equipment and machinery which is used in the process.
- Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions and documents failure analysis.
- Collects equipment operation and history data to facilitate reliability improvements.
- Works within established Maintenance Work Processes.

Qualifications
- Must have obtained a high school diploma/equivalent PLUS an Electrical Journeyman Certificate, Red Seal Designation, OR two year degree (or higher) in the electrical discipline.
- A minimum of 4 years relevant maintenance experience.
- Ability to safely work in a plant environment, meet physical demands, work at elevated heights, and comfortably use PPE and safety equipment (including harnesses with a total maximum weight capacity of 300lbs). Must be familiar with or open to training on proper equipment usage.
- A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.

Skills
- Troubleshooting - Able to effectively diagnose electrical equipment failures and determine repair scope.
- Equipment Maintenance - Complete repair and preventative maintenance task on a broad range of electrical equipment.
- Detail Oriented - Ensures that all aspects of the work process are complete from job initiation, execution, and close out.
