Child Care Algoma is a non-profit agency dedicated to being a leader in providing quality programs which support healthy early childhood development. It is our vision to play a critical role in strengthening relationships with children and families that set the foundation for healthy growth and development.

We are currently hiring for a three month part-time Cook position at our Thessalon Early Learning and Care Program. The Cook’s shift is Monday-Friday, and they complete weekly grocery shopping for the Program.
- Certificate in Culinary Skills/Chef Training or combination of education and experience in food preparation, nutrition and dietary requirements.
- Current Safe Food Handling Certificate.
- Knowledge of the Canada Food Guide and Health Standards as set out by the Medical Officer of Health.
- Knowledge of Food Allergies and Food Substitutions.
- Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C Certificate is an asset.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Possession of a vehicle, valid Ontario Driver’s License and required insurance is an asset.
