**Job Summary**
This is a great opportunity to stack onto your exisiting schedule if you want to make some extra money this winter. The route is smaller in size and incredibly dense with average salting outings takings 3 hours and full snow removal at around 6 hours. Last years team had 16 salting's and 6 full snow removals 2 of which were the big storms and we always try to plan for nighttime schedules where we can. So Earn 10K for around 120 workings hours? That's a no brainer
The Snow Plow Operator (RTV X1100C) is responsible for safely and efficiently removing snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, and other designated areas. This position involves operating a Heavy duty side by side machine with v plow on front and salter on the rear, accompanied by a side hand for shoveling —the objective is to ensure safe and accessible conditions during and after winter weather events.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate snow plows, salt/sand spreaders, and heavy equipment to clear snow and ice.
- Inspect and maintain assigned equipment before, during, and after use.
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snow and ice events, often on short notice.
- Follow established routes, safety protocols, and operating procedures.
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisors to report progress, hazards, and maintenance needs.
- Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and cleaning of equipment as needed.
- Assist with other maintenance or operational duties when snow removal is not required.
**Qualifications**
- Valid Ontario driver’s license; CDL (Class B or higher) is an asset but not mandatory.
- Experience operating snow plow trucks and/or heavy machinery.
- Knowledge of safe operating practices and local road networks.
- Ability to work long or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays during snow events.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in cold and inclement weather.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.
**Working Conditions**
- Outdoor, physically demanding work in winter weather conditions.
- Extended shifts during snowstorms and emergency situations.
- Exposure to cold, wind, noise, and vibration.
