**Overview of the opportunity**

Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, Regulatory and Professional Compliance and Chief Privacy Officer, and working closely with the Senior Legal Counsel, Regulatory and Professional Compliance, the Data Protection Analyst is responsible for the preparation of Privacy Impact Assessments, remediation of privacy and data breaches, and providing support for the Firm’s privacy and data protection compliance processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, high-caliber in-house legal team in a thriving and progressive international organization.

What you will do:

- Remediate and document data breaches (privacy and confidentiality);
- Provide support in connection with the Firm’s data protection compliance program and projects; and
- Support internal and external data protection audits, reviews and certifications.

At times, business needs a rise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal workday or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need extra time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.

What you bring to this role:

- At least 3 years’ experience in preparing Privacy Impact Assessments and in remediating data breaches at a large Canadian organization;
- Knowledgeable in all Canadian federal and provincial privacy laws and regulations; and
- Certification as a Canadian privacy specialist, while not mandatory, is preferable.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with high-quality and timely work product in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to build trust and create effective working relationships across business lines, and with internal and external stakeholders.
- Inquisitive and self-motivated, you work effectively individually and with a team.
- Proficiency in English at a business level is required

**KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information**

The expected base salary range for this position is $54,000 to $81,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
