**We are looking for a friendly and experienced delivery driver to join our team.**

We are looking for a morning delivery driver to join our team and help us deliver specialty coffee from our roastery and fresh bread from our bakery throughout the Hamilton and Toronto area.

**Detour Coffee Roasters** specializes in procuring, roasting, and distributing specialty coffee. Our roastery is based in Hamilton and we distribute coffee across Canada.

**Dear Grain Bakery** specializes in high quality sourdough breads and pastry. Our bakery is based in Hamilton and we distribute bread and pastry to our shops and clients in Hamilton and Toronto.

**Driving Qualifications**

We are looking for a friendly, open minded and flexible individual. Driver Must have:

- **Minimum 3 years Commercial driving experience including metropolitan areas**:

- Experience driving vans
- Proof of clean driving record 5yrs
- 5 consecutive years of vehicle Insurance (Private/ Commercial)
- Valid G driving license

**Job Special Requirements**
- Ability to lift or carry 30lbs to a 50lbs max
- Ability to push or pull up to 1500 lbs using supplied equipment
- Frequent twisting, turning, bending and standing required
- Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements

**Schedule & Hours**

**Hours**:Full Time 35-40 hours per week. 35 hours Guaranteed.

**Days**:Wed - Sun

**Hours**:Wed
- Fri 8am - 4pm (if you prefer to start earlier, it’s possible) - Coffee Deliveries

Sat 4:30am - 11:30am - Bread & Pastry Deliveries

Sun 5:00am - 12:00pm - Bread & Pastry Deliveries

**Compensation & Perks**
- 20$ hour for first 3 months
- 22$ + Benefits after 3 months
- Unlimited cups of coffee & regular allotment of take-home coffee
- Fresh bread from Dear Grain Bakery

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Practice Safe Driving
- Be willing to operate Google navigation on mobile phone or tablet
- Begin work at required start time
- Deliver all items according to Delivery Logs and Delivery Schedule with attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain the condition of all products delivered
- Fulfill daily delivery tasks between Detour Roastery, Dear Grain Bakery, Dark Horse locations and local cafe customers
- Accommodate delivery deadlines and special delivery requests
- Maintain cleanliness of company van
- Report vehicle issues promptly
- Manage vehicle service and maintenance (paid hours)
- Maintain a professional level of customer service at all times
- Use Detour’s Human Resource platform for time tracking

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
