**Summary**

The Powder Coating Technician and Lead Hand is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the powder coating process and ensuring high-quality finishes.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Team Leadership**: Help supervise and coordinate the powder coating team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
- **Surface Preparation**: Oversee the cleaning, sanding, masking, and pre-coating preparation of surfaces.
- **Quality Control**: Conduct inspections and tests to verify that painted surfaces meet company standards and rectify any issues.
- **Data Entry**: Enter production and testing data in ERP or production software as needed
- **Training**: Help train new team members on proper techniques, safety protocols, and productivity goals.
- **Maintenance**: Assist in the performance of routine maintenance on powder coating equipment and troubleshoot minor issues to minimize downtime.
- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure all team members adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor and manage inventory of powder coating materials and supplies
- Other related duties as may be assigned

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years in industrial powder coating, with leadership experience an asset
- **Leadership**: leadership and communication skills
- **Attention to Detail**: Detail-oriented approach to ensure high-quality finishes and adherence to standards
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
- **Flexibility**: Adaptability to changing job requirements and schedules

Regular Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
