Simplicity Car Care NE Calgary is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Painter to join their team. This full-time, permanent position offers competitive compensation and a supportive work environment.
**Position Overview**
As an Auto Body Painter at Simplicity Car Care NE, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality paint finishes on repaired vehicles, ensuring they meet or exceed original factory standards. This role requires precision, patience, and a keen eye for color matching.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking.
- Remove and reinstall bolt-on components as necessary.
- Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and perform necessary corrections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools safely.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines.
- Dry or bake newly painted areas as required.
**Qualifications**
- 2-3 years of experience in automotive painting.
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Painter or similar role.
- Familiarity with dealership standards and practices is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Education in automotive painting is considered an asset.
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- English not required
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Calgary, AB T2E 6S8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
